Our trip to Valencia for Las Falls was a HUGE success!
Check out my updates from the trip HERE
Las Fallas 2009
That looks & sounds incredible!
wow! good stuff Jay, we definitely look forward to your photo-capades. hopefully we’ll get to Valencia in May when we visit!
Hi Jay, thanks for using the photos. Actually las fallas were one of the most impressive “parties” I had been in spain, three days of non-stop parting with ALL the city (and tourists like us).
This is my own post (in spanish but with more photos) of my trip to Valencia two years ago: http://b3co.com/archivo/1162
Cheers!
Way cool! I always thought it woould be nice to take a year off and just visit countries during their fireworks festivals: Amsterdam (New Years), Spain (Las Fallas), Mexico (fireworks contest), US (4th of July), Malta/Gozo, UK (Guy Fawkes at Lewes), then back to Amsterdam. That would be a heaping bonfire of awesome.
Wow looks beautiful. I’m sure you’ll get some great shots!
I have seen it. I went there last year.

how i envy you! i was born in Valencia, very close to the cathedral. the fallas is inside my veins, my blood. last time i saw them in-situ three years ago. i watch live via internet-video the “mascletas”: i miss the “rumble” under my feet and the “smell”.
lol. i get these ‘senior’ moments ever fo often now… forgot to mention i now live in australia.
