My boss just informed me that we are moving to a 9/80 schedule.
Instead of 80 hours in 10 days I work 80 in 9 days.
The payoff?
Every other Friday off.

W00t indeed! Our client, EnCana, changed to that schedule, and I have been enjoying it. The 9 hour week requires some adjustment with travel. The way it works out, I work a 10 hour monday, 9 hours the other days, to compensate for travelling Thursdays. It’s all good for having that Friday free.

I’ve been on a 9/80 for ten years or so, and it is teh awesome. I never want to go back to a regular schedule. Enjoy it!
