Cause what matters most is the feeling you get when you’re hypnotized

The latest from the Cynthia collection.
I really took a liking to this fabric when I found it at the quilting supply store in Katy. Cynthia was not so sure.
Little did we know how hard it would be for Cynthia to work with it. The pattern is … wll, slippery. It litterally makes your eyes swim when you look at it and when you are required to maintain a constant focus for the purpose of cutting and sewing the actual shirt it plays havock on your eyes.
Cynthia actually named this shirt “Swimmy.”
Pictures don’t do it justice. The cobination of light and motion is what really sets this shirt off.

It’s been very foggy the last two mornings. The aliens used the fog as cover and have abducted my best friend Jim.

If you’re viewing this on your Lj friends list it won’t be very impressive.

I’m playing with the Lightbox java script plugin. When you click the below image a larger version should pop-up in a “Light Box”…it’s a VERY cool effect.
For the record, after Cynthia had her eyes examined and got her new contacts she still thinks I am attractive…so PPPPHHHHHTTTTTTTT!
I’ve lost my TARDIS, you’ve lost your memory; I’d be surprised if the two events weren’t related.
I was perusing the UK Trip Photo Gallery from our trip back in 2003 and I came across this picture I took outside of London. Cynthia could not figure out why I was so enthusiastic about it. She was doubly perplexed when I decided to photograph it.
I suppose, in some ways, I am glad Cynthia is not as much of a nerd/dork as I am.
Of course the situation was repeated last year in Paris when I insisted on stopping at the McDonald’s on the Champs-Elysées and ordering a Royal with Cheese.
Of course that was more of a pop-culture reference than a nerd-moment.

I am the luckiest nerd alive!

Happy Valentine’s Day to the woman who makes every day special!

I love you, Cynthia!
It’s like a jungle sometimes it makes me wonder
Beats of Basquiat at the Museum of Fine Arts here in Houston, TX was a monthly event that was hosted to celebrate the art of Jean-Michel Basquiat. Each month there would be live music and Dj’s.
Last night was the final event and the headliner was Grandmaster Flash.

I must say, it was pretty awesome show, in a “I remember the 80’s” kinda way. Lots of good people and a very nice time.

I suppose the life of an anorexic duck doesn’t amount to much in the broad scheme of things
It was a spectacular day, and while i did retreat into my nerd-hole to setup my new PC we did get out for a little while to enjoy some sunshine and fresh air.
Not far from the homestead is George Bush Park. It’s actually a very nice space. There’s even an airport for R/C aircraft and you can see some cool planes flying around.
Cynthia and I decided that it was a good day for feeding ducks.
