We are trying yet another new location for the monthly geek gathering. This month it is Tropioca. It’s a bubble-tea cafe with free wi-fi. It’s pretty nice here.

It’s my first experience with bubble tea. Bubble tea is a tea beverage with tapioca balls mixed in. As you might imagine, there are many references to the “balls”…

What a great Geek Gathering! The drinks were good and the wi-fi was fast! I like this place. I did hear a comment about not having beer, but those folks can always go out afterwards!! =)

Not my laptop, unfortunately. Was checking out someone else’s.

I liked Tropioca, but major downside: No booze. Coffee’s dandy, but liquor is quicker. Or something like that.

Gaack! Tapioca is nasty enough in cold pudding, but the thought of black tapioca ‘pearls’ in hot milky tea is truly nauseating. Thank God here in The South they only violate tea with sugar.
