There are three things that make these photos exciting to me.
1. No flash IN THE BIG TOP. If you’ve ever been, you know what I’m talking about.
2. Shot using the 20mm f/1.8 lens. Problematic lens for me in the past.
3. You can see the face of each band member, including the drummer. No small thing.
Aqua Velva – Big Top
I like it! It looks like a lost segment of American Bandstand.
Looks like the Ed Sullivan Show! Good “1960’s” quality there.
The Big Top never looked so bright.
So, is it the lens that gets you these brighter images or a setting on your camera, like a night mode??
The first one works. It really captures the feel of, as some have already pointed out, American Bandstand.
