So the Pope’s health continues to deteriorate.
It’s rather mercenary, I know, but…I can’t help but wonder how this will affect our vacation.
Our hotel is right outside the Vatican.

We really have our heart set on seeing the Sistine Chapel.

It all depends on when conclave is. When will you be in VC?

I wonder if conclave is still in the Chapel.

We are going by train everywhere! Amsterdam to Bruges, Belgium…then Bruges to Brussels and then to Paris!

I know you don’t want it to ruin your vacation, but it would be very exciting to be there. What a rare experience. The Catholic Enclyclopedia gives a detailed account of what happens after the death of a Pope.

Then again – maybe your timing will be right & you’ll get to see a puff of white or black smoke . . .

Not sure when you are going but my best friend Bri is going in less than a week and their whole trip is in Italy. His vacation may really end up sucking, cause I’m sure they’ll close all the tourist attractions ( the big churches) for a few days.
